Thanks to your continued support, Dominicans are teaming up with some of America’s finest young minds to bring the dialogue of faith and reason to our nation’s centers of learning. This spring, PFIC professors are slated to give lectures at Hillsdale College’s Kirby Center for Faith & Reason - Volume III, Issue I The premier talk of the Thomistic Institute’s exciting expansion was delivered by Fr. Dominic Legge, O.P. Entitled “Who Am I to Judge? Politics and the Problem of Moral Relativism,” Father Legge’s lecture exposed the roots of our cultural skittishness when it comes to admitting right and wrong. Relativism, said Legge, defies basic logic and everyday practical experience. He pointed to monumental truthseekers such as John Paul II and Martin Luther King Jr., leaders who taught us that commitment to the truth about men and women—regardless of time period or popular social conventions— is the only path to the real human good. With your help, PFIC faculty members like Fr. Legge are sustaining this dialogue with our country’s future leaders and training Dominican Friars, other religious, and laypeople to do the same. 6
