Why we
SACRIFICE IN THE
CAMPAIGN
It is better to understand why you do something
rather than doing it just for the sake of it. Many
people do not understand the essence of
sacrifice and try to live a Christian life without
doing so. But it cannot be denied that the lives of
all the greats in the Bible were led by sacrifice.
Abraham, Moses, Gideon, David and Elijah,
among others, made it an integral part of their
lives. It is what defined them.
Reason one:
Before David and the Israelites went to battle against any
of their enemies, the king would offer a sacrifice to receive
God’s confirmation of whether he and his army should go
ahead or not. This showed his trust and his dependence on
God, and this is one of the reasons why we sacrifice.
