INSPIRING EXPERIENCES FROM THE l e a r s I f o n g i a p m Ca PETER NJINI RONICA BAKANDESHA “I wanted a bigger home for my family. I had no savings and a tenant at one of my properties stopped paying rent. When the Campaign came, I challenged God. It wasn’t easy, but I persevered and did everything God inspired me to. The courts ruled in my favour and the tenant was evicted. A new tenant moved in. The additional money put us in a position to purchase a bigger property. However, the lender pulled out two weeks before purchase. So, I appealed and it was accepted! Through sacrifice, I obtained my new home.” “I h ad an addiction to pornography and had low self-esteem. When the Campaign came around, I sold water in Hyde Park to raise funds, so that I was able to make a sacrifice on the altar. Further to this, I walked everywhere and made it my priority to seek God. As a result of my sacrifice, I am free from my addiction and I am filled with the presence of God. And, I have a better, healthier relationship with my family. The Campaign, my sacrifice, and God’s power made all things possible. My life has changed for the better.” CHRIS SMITH ALAINE LEMAIRE “I worked as a contractor, but had no job stability. So, when I took part in the Campaign, I asked God for a permanent job that would pay me the same kind of money. After presenting my sacrifice on the altar, I applied for a promotion and got the job. “I took part in the Campaign of Israel for my family because we always fought and just could not get along. We were divided. When the campaign came, I had no other choice but to go on the altar and sacrifice. I believed I would find my answers there. To use my faith, I began sleeping on the floor; I prayed, I fasted and sacrificed the money I wanted to invest. Today my sisters come to church with me, and have been baptised; our relationship has improved. Family life has become easier; we are a team.” However, I was not happy with the pay. My manager agreed that I was getting paid too little. However, there was a delay in correcting it. So, I prayed and challenged God with my tithe, and I received a significant pay increase.” uckg.org|5
