THE CAMPAIGN NEVER CEASES
TO AMAZE ME
Edna Marta had taken part in the Campaign before, so she had already tasted how
rewarding it can be. But could she keep the same faith, now that the stakes were raised?

“I took part in this Campaign because I
knew it would change my entire life for
the better, so I began asking God what
He wanted me to sacrifice and to give
me the strength to obey Him.
They gave me a few months’ time before
I could start paying.
It turned out that He wanted me to
sacrifice in my spiritual life, as well as in
my finances. Nevertheless, I was moved
to sacrifice my car and the rent money I
had saved for my business.
Thoughts of doubt bombarded me until
the following morning when I presented
my sacrifice. I cried and cried like a
baby. I thought to myself: ‘God, if You
don’t help me, I don’t know what I will
do. It’s in Your hands.’”
A few days after Edna had taken the envelope,
something unexpected happened, which
gave her more reassurance that she was
on the right path.
“My 16-year-old daughter, who had
been giving me a lot of problems, also
took the envelope. And without me
saying anything, she decided to give her
life to God. She soon abandoned her
old lifestyle.
The first thing that happened that showed
God was working in my favour was my
landlord’s response. After presenting my
vow, God gave me the courage to call
my landlords. I explained to them that I
didn’t have the money at that moment
and, to my surprise, they said: “Edna we
believe in you and you don’t have to
pay two months’ worth of rent (£6000)”.
Then three weeks after the Campaign,
having chased the government for
my certificate, Ofsted approved my
application. I then finally opened
my business, and God has helped
me succeed.
Before my mother was sceptical that
I wouldn’t have enough to pay one
member of staff, but after the Campaign,
she has seen many people working with
me. Sacrifice was the fastest way to
achieving my dream.
Today, I have my business, a happy
home, and peace because I decided to
use my faith.”
