Getting results,
His way
Yudina had always dreamt of studying abroad, and together
with her faith and trust in God she was able to fulfil this dream,
regardless of any setbacks.
“I had previously been rejected by three
universities in France. I applied for a university
in the UK and was accepted. However, I
had trouble proving my living expenses here,
and was forced to defer my course twice,
because the university kept asking for more
papers each time. I didn’t know how to
provide the necessary funds to show proof.
So, I put my trust in God’s hands, so that He
could bring about the results I wanted, His
way. I took part in the Campaign.
My sacrifice was from the money that my
mum had entrusted to me to pay for my
education and the visa expenses that were
to come. I chose to sacrifice to destroy all
the walls that were around me because I’d
had enough of it. Yes, it was difficult for me
because this money was meant to pay my
tuition fees and the visa expenses. I asked
my mum if I could use the money for my
sacrifice and she told me not to because I
would not have enough later, but my faith
told me otherwise. This was hard for me to
do, but I trusted God and didn’t think about
anything else.
Within two days after the sacrifice, my aunt
agreed to help me financially and after a
month, I applied for a visa. In ten days, on
12th September, I got my visa, came to Leeds
on the 15th and started university on 18th
September. I feel blessed and I’m very happy
now that my dream has come true. I learned
how to persevere in my faith and trust in
His promise.”

“When a person gives his offering, he or she is
symbolically repeating what God did when He
gave part of Himself (His Son).”
