Life, what a power-packed word! Even with all of
its twists and turns, it is one of the most precious
gifts that God has given all of us! The beauty of
life is that it has so many possibilities. The ability
to learn, grow, change, and live life to the fullest.
So why do we find ourselves getting stuck and at
times, complacent with our everyday lives? We
are okay with the routine of getting up; rushing to
get the kids out the door, while trying to get
ourselves ready. We head off to jobs we don’t like,
and even worse, that bring us no true fulfillment.
Only to get back home, help the kids with
homework, cook dinner, try to achieve the efforts
of working out, shower, then off to bed we go, if
we don’t crash before we get there. Then we
repeat.Wow! Surely there is more in store for us
than this. Truth be told, there is. The Word of God
in John 10:10b (MSG) says, “…I came so they can
have real and eternal life, more and better life
than they ever dreamed of.” This is God’s
intended purpose for you! I understand that we
have responsibilities and bills to pay but don’t let
those things keep you from reaching God’s
purpose.

We should strive to live life on purpose FOR
purpose! When we live life purposefully, we are
not only aligning our lives up with God’s plans,
but we get to walk an authentic life, filled with
possibilities we could never have dreamed of.
I know this to be true because I live it every day.
I came from nothing. I moved out at 16. I grew
up without a Dad. I was a victim of childhood
sexual assault. I’ve lost my child, overcome
abusive relationships and the list goes on. I’m
not telling you these things to showcase a sad
story; my journey is not sad. I am telling you
these things because the girl I was then, never
dreamed that I could be the woman I am today!
My only dream back then was to survive. I never
imagined in my wildest dreams, that I could be
anything else! Today, I am a successful business
owner/entrepreneur, author of “Don’t Skip Any
Steps: My Journey to Redemption,” inspirational
blogger, business coach and God is not done
yet!
I encourage each of you to take life by the horns
and walk the journey that God designed
specifically for you! I know you can do it! Don’t
be afraid, let God lead you every step of the
way!
