HUNTLEY Many times we allow past experiences to hinder our progress.  We sometimes forget that I Peter 2:9 establishes our identity as a chosen generation, a royal priesthood,  an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.  It is paramount to remember that as Christians we are under new management.  We have new life in Christ according to II Corinthians 5:17.  Therefore we know who and whose we are.  Once we repented of our sins and received forgiveness, it is imperative not to allow anyone to take us on a guilt trip about our past.  Instead embrace your phenomenal future, destiny, and preordained purpose in Christ. Paul compared life to a race, realizing that he had to lay aside every weight and the sin in order to be victorious and win the race.  We won’t be victorious in life looking back.  Therefore we must continue to press forward by looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.  God’s word says that we can do all things through CHRIST which strengthens us.  We are equipped for the challenges of the day.  Stay in the race and finish the course.  Yes we may fall down, but get back up.  “It is not by power, not by might, but by my Spirit” says the Lord.  Rest in God and know that He wishes above all things that His children WIN, prosper and be in health, even as our souls prosper. So as you press past obstacles and challenges remain single eye focused on Jesus to accomplish your purpose.  Continue to press every day, and speak God’s word until you see the manifestation in your life.  Know that nothing or no thing is too hard for our God, and that He is well able.  If you choose to think about the past reminisce about how God has consistently proven that He is well able to sustain you.  This will definitely help you to have present confidence based on past experience.
