EMBRACING your gift Photo: She Bold Stock We all have something we're gifted at doing.  That is, we do not need much practice; it is innately a part of us. Scripture tells us, “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”  This means, when God created you, he equipped you with a gift to fulfill his purpose for your life! What is it you are great at doing? Written By LaSandra Collins Some of us, hide our natural talents for fear of not being accepted or standing out in the crowd while others of us use our gifts in contrast to what God intended us to do with it. While on opposites ends of the spectrum neither of these scenarios honor God.  We were graced with our talent to bless others; hence honoring Christ. We should not be ashamed or afraid to use what God has given us to serve others.  Your gift is an encouragement for someone else who needs what you have to offer by way of your gift.  Using your gift faithfully glorifies God and ministers to others. In doing this, you are blessing others and building God’s kingdom at the same time. You were created for God’s glory.  Embrace your gift, use it to exalt God and his goodness.   What is your gift? Whether it is singing, teaching, writing or something else use it to draw others to Christ.  Your gifts and talent were not given to you solely for you, nor was it given to be hidden from the world. We were all created with natural talent so that we could elevate Christ.
