their land.” Applying this scripture to governmental values and
political views, would be a great
start.
Is our country in the normal
downward spiral that it has been
over past generations?
It seems to be the popular opinion of most that our country’s
downward spiral has gotten
worse through the years. There
are very few things that have
improved over the years, but
many that have grown increasingly worse. Family values have
declined. The importance of
the family unit has become less
important. Godly morals and
principles have been twisted
and turned to make sin okay for
those who desire to live ungodly
lives. In the same manner we
see how the Constitution has
been twisted to not only allow
sinful living, but we’re now made
to make room for the sinner so
not to offend their belief or right
to sin.
There has been a decline continually and unless the church
begins to stand up and fight
back for what is right in the sight
of God, and pray, the spiral is
bound to continue.
How do we reverse the trend of
declining morals, decay of the
family unit, and ungodly behavior?

The way to reverse any trend is
to do something different. When
we do the same thing over and
over again, we get the same

result, and the same results are
no longer acceptable. We must
turn our faces back to God as
the scripture read. We must
pray and seek his face and turn
from the ways that we have
been living. We must stop allowing things that are not pleasing
to the Father and have enough
boldness to tell the world that
we are no longer willing to sit
back and accept what is morally
wrong.
Isaiah 5:20 says: “Woe unto
them that call evil good, and
good evil; that put darkness for
light, and light for darkness; that
put bitter for sweet, and sweet
for bitter!”
