He uses weapons of deception
and distraction. His lie that ‘it
really isn’t that bad’ and that ‘by
dressing up and eating candy
you are not really partaking’ is
a trick to get you to believe that
what you are doing really is not
that bad. I mean trick or treating
is not as bad as stealing or murder right? The problem is we as
humans are the only who use a
scale for sin. God doesn’t. God
see’s us following him or not following him, that’s it. There is
no degree to which it differs. He
sees our heart and our choices
and it does not matter what level
of sin it is; it is all sin to him.

to do.
HOW TO BE A LIGHT INSTEAD

Christ and say with what I have

A church we went to in the past
had a great idea. We had a pool
party on Halloween night instead! We would all get together,
him in every area. Christ calls us
to be in the world, but not of it. I
believe Halloween is a great time
to live that out. We are to live in
this earthly world, but not succumb to the pressure to follow
what everyone else it doing. As
Christians, we are tp stand outto show that Christ is alive, be a
light, to be different, and do different things. I encourage anyone struggling with Halloween
to do some research and learn
more about what is truly represents and pray about it. Allow
God to guide you in the decision.
