He was about His Father ’ s business . That is what it looked like in Jesus ’ day-to-day life . Some days , large crowds were drawn to Him , while other days it was all about the one person before Him . Typically , though , the large crowds were a result of the testimony of the one .
The woman at the well in John 4 who Jesus stopped to talk to and brought living water to ended up testifying of her encounter and many from her town believed in Jesus from her testimony .
Three ways to get past the belief that one person cannot change anything ?
1 . Believe that God is with you , empowering you and that He longs to use you .
2 . Realize that you are part of a
whole . You ’ re not working alone . You are a part of the body of Christ . The impact you make is the impact you ’ re meant to make . Trust that God sends others to water the seeds you ’ ve planted just as you may be sent as a waterer of seeds others have planted . God is in the business of restoring hearts and reconciling men to Himself .
3 . Know that you were created for the impossible ! It ’ s time to break the thoughts that hold you back from life and allow your faith in God to launch you forward into the unknown ! God knows you can do anything . Sometimes that looks like you reaching out to the broken person who works a few cubicles down from you . Other times it looks like you stopping to pray for the homeless woman begging for change on the street corner .
Whatever the case may be , you make a difference in the world around you by responding to the stirring in your heart to move out of what seems possible to you and step out into the impossible realm of the Kingdom of God where the children of God are meant to live .
So , friend , now is the time . What are you waiting for ? What has God been stirring in your heart to do for Him ? Why not use today as day one in your surrender to His way over your way . You ’ ll never know the impact just one person can make until you take the first step forward in making it . Do the right thing and obey the Lord , leave the outcome to Him . You were created to make a difference in the world around you .
