that it would have been written in a way to better protect the Christian Church .
The biggest problem with this today is the fact that the true bornagain Christian can hardly live by the Constitution . The voices of this generation and the right to live in sin drown out the voice of truth . Many people , therefore , are afraid to stand up for what is right and we have seen a decline in Christian morals . Until the Christian church regains knowledge of the Word and a boldness to stand up for it , we will continue to see a rise in sin and wrongdoing in so many forms . How do Believers Stand up for what is Right ?
The way to stand up for God and the truth of His word is to first believe it yourself . Many people cannot stand for what is right , because they truly don ’ t know what actually is right . This is a sad reality that overcomes the church . Because of the lack of wisdom and knowledge within the church , the world sees an unstable movement and they prey upon it . A person who is seeking to stand for something , but has no understanding of the Bible , will be influenced to stand for whatever makes them feel good . When the church won ’ t stand , why would a lost person want to get caught up in their timidity ? The church is beaten down because of its own weakness . The world is looking for a cause .
God ’ s desire has been for His children to obey His voice ever since the beginning of creation . He has promised us so much life by simply loving , trusting and obeying Him . We see in the book of Exodus how God destroyed the Egyptians for their lack of belief , but he says this in Exodus 15:26 : “ And said , If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God , and wilt do that which is right in his sight , and wilt give ear to his commandments , and keep all his statutes , I will put none of these diseases upon thee , which I have brought upon the Egyptians : for I am the LORD that healeth thee .” This one verse alone should be enough to encourage us as Christians to not only do the right thing , but also to stand up for what is right .
Ephesians 6:6 says : “ Not with eyeservice , as menpleasers , but as the servants of Christ , doing the will of God from the heart …” If we would serve God more from our hearts and less from worry of what others think of us , we would be able to stand for what is right . If our child is being bullied at school , we will run not walk straight down to the principal ’ s office to take care of the matter immediately . If the principal looks the other way , we take care of the problem ourselves . Very few people will allow their child to be ridiculed , mocked and beaten while standing off to a distance afraid to say anything to the bully . Yet the church is treated as badly and worse every single day , while Christians sit back and remain afraid to say anything .
Paul taught the church of Corinth that as an Apostle , he could be trusted , his voice was of truth , he did not lie and he stood up for
God ’ s Word . 2 Corinthians 4:2 says this : “ But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty , not walking in craftiness , nor handling the word of God deceitfully , but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man ’ s conscience in the sight of God .” As Christians , we should all be as bold and ready to stand up for what we know is the right thing in the eyes of God our Father .
Revelation 7:17 gives us all of the reason that we need to be willing to stand against the world with a confidence in that by our doing so , the Father will take care of us . “ For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them , and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters , and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes .” It is time that we all realize that the Amendment in the Constitution was written for the church , the Christian church , and it is time that we take back our right to stand for our religion ! It is time that we take back our right to stand up for our Lord and Savior !
WHAT IF I OFFEND SOME- ONE ?
The definition of offense is : “ a violation or breaking of a social or moral rule ; transgression ; sin .” Understanding this definition , we must see that the offense is coming from those who oppose Christianity , not the other way around . When we are silenced because of our right to speak of the church and the Lord Jesus Christ , we are the ones who are being offended , yet we sit back and say nothing .
