Shoring Up Our Faith From Erosion

Life is hard ! At times it can be totally mind-boggling ! You want to think about good things but everywhere you turn it seems like the world is on a downward spiral . You worry about your children growing up because it seems like the crime rate is constantly going up all across the nation . Your thoughts are confirmed when you change the television station to the local news and hear about another murder . Then , you gaze down at your coffee table in an effort to take your mind off what is going on and your local newspaper only has articles about a recent kidnapping , bank robberies , sexual perversion inside public schools , and the list goes on and on ! You shake your head in disbelief . You want to run from the madness , but you know that it will never get better until Jesus comes back and we have that new Heaven and Earth that the Bible talks about with no more sadness and tears . Until then , we are stuck with a couple of lingering questions . How do we keep our mind from becoming eroded by these horrible things around us ? How can we be in this world but not really be of the world ? Below are some suggestions that may help you understand how you can clear your mind and keep it filtered from the sinful things that go on around you .
