Absolutely! Am I ready for her
leave home? Not so sure. Even
writing this right now is making
me realize just how much I’m
going to miss my daughter. She
is my first-born, and the first to
leave home.
Sending a child off to college
is the fulfillment of the parent’s
desire to give their children a
bright future. It’s not always what
the child wants, though. So in

Sometimes it’s not off to college,

that it is their lives to live. All we
can do is hope we have instilled
the right things in them so that
they make the right choices.
Reading scripture aloud and
helping them understand it,
living the example of a godly
lifestyle before them, and being
prayerful with them, are all good
and expected things to do in a
godly home. Yet when all is said
and done, we really have to trust
