individual or group is going to fix this. We need God to step into the situation and He typically does not do that until we ask. Have you seen prayers answered as you’ve been involved in events like the National Day of Prayer? I certainly have seen prayers answered in many ways through the years. But just this year, we saw Shirley Dobson step down from her leadership role with NDP and in response to our prayers, Anne Graham Lotz was waiting in the wings to step up to this vital role. Only God could orchestrate such a dynamic transition. In another answer to prayer, just this year our Capitol Hill National Day of Prayer prayer event was opened by Rabbi Jonathan Cahn who not only blew the shofar (an instrument made from a ram’s horn), but through his prophetic words, blew an alarm for our nation spiritually. We had been praying that this event would grab the hearts of those present and those watching and God certainly answered that prayer in a powerful way. Are Christians praying incorrectly, and if so, how can this book help? If we are praying for our nation, we are doing a good thing. Can we do it better? Probably.
