In a time where America is a
mess, where is the hope? Many
Christians know they should be
praying for the nation, but don’t
do so, either because of lack of
knowledge or belief that change
is not realistic. Author, David
Butts, realizes the need for
Americans to renew their hope
to be motivated to pray for America and its leaders. In his book,
“With One Cry,” he addresses
this very issue, giving insight on
how to better pray for the country and the necessity of prayer.
What was your main inspiration behind writing this book?

If you don’t think there is hope,
you won’t pray. One of the key
purposes of this book is to give
hope, so that we will pray.

Board for the National Day of
Prayer and felt that it was time
for me to put into words some of
the ways that people can pray
for the United States.
You make the statement in the
book that unless we repent
as a nation, you have little
