You told your friends and family members and they were ecstatic . Everyone was excited for the newly-engaged couple . Soon , you received offers to help you plan and prepare . All of your friends want to be a part of the wedding in some way . You ’ ve chosen the best man and maidof-honor , and you even have the perfect venue in mind for the reception .
Everyone seems excited to help the two of you make this the perfect wedding . Everyone that is , except for your parents . They are not excited . They are not happy at all about the engagement . In fact , you ’ re afraid they may not even attend the wedding . How would you explain their absence ? Talk about ruining the perfect wedding day ! You ’ re happy and in love , yet feel hurt and sad that your parents are not sharing in the joy you feel inside .
