God created family when He created Adam and Eve . God said in Genesis 2:18 “ It is not good for the man to be alone . I will make a helper suitable for him .” and he also mentions family in Genesis 1:24 “ That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife , and they become one flesh .” God is a relational God
WHY DOES Satan Sabotage Families ?
and desires us to know Him relationally . He begins the human race with relation-ship . We are now able to receive Him as Father and know He sticks closer than a brother ( Proverbs 18:24 ). Relationship teaches us to know , understand and receive God . He is not wanting anyone to think we are anything of ourselves but has created us to have relationship and be in relationship with others . Even Jesus himself mentions His relationship with God as Father , when he prayed to the Him in John 17:21 , “ That they all may be one , as You , Father , are in Me , and I in You ; that they also may be one in Us , that the world may believe that You sent Me .”
God is family-minded . He calls us His Children in 1 John 1:12 “ But to all who did re-ceive him , who believed in his name , he gave the right to become children of God ”.
Eve was already formed with a womb to bring multiplication to the earth even before sin . God had already commissioned them both to fill the earth . This let ’ s us know that family was part of the plan from the beginning . It was not an after thought or a result of sin but how God intended us to live . God is into family and I believe it ’ s why the enemy comes to destroy the family and alter our idea of connection to God and others .
