Interview with Grady Nichols

aith Filled Family Magazine is honored to welcome acclaimed saxophonist, Grady Nichols, with a
message in his album; “Falling
In Love With Christmas” which
includes traditional classic tones
that will fill your heart with joy. But
Grady Nichols does something
unique and sassy to each song.
He adds flare, some zest and
smooth medley in songs such as
“O Come All Ye Faithful” and a
philharmonic sound with strings,
percussions and each musical element coming together on
“The Little Drummer Boy”…. To
the upbeat tempo of “Angels
We Have Heard On High” to the
breath taking sound that draws
you into “O Holy Night”… And
just wait until you hear “The Story Of Christmas”…………You
are sure to be inspired.
Grady admits recording a Christmas record was a challenge. But
adds; “You want to do something
different and stretch yourself a
little.” After his previous album,
Destination, which did exceptional well, he felt God was saying: “It’s time to do Christmas”. “I
got inspired!” says Nichols. And
add to this, the song “One More
Christmas”, which has an upbeat anthem penned by Nichols,
Zach Dietz and Lindsay Dail, and
featuring a spirited vocal performance by 4Him’s Andy Chrisman, brings out what we should
be engaging in all the time, which
is sharing the love and feeling of
Christmas all year long.
