Make sure you remind them of
these things often, so that they
begin to really internalize them.
This is the best thing you can
do for your child. By doing this,
you are filling him or her up with
positive emotions to override his
or her negative ones, and you
are creating a safe environment
for him or her to grow and thrive
in. Remind your child early and
often that he or she is loved by
God and by you.
Divorce is a terrible evil in our
world today, and too many
people suffer because of it. If
you find yourself going through
a divorce, please know that God
is there for you. He will hold you
every shaky step of the way.
He loves you, and He will never
abandon you. Because of this,
He will give you the strength you
need to model this love toward
your children. Though it will be
hard, you can help them through
this, just like God will help you.
Divorce may be part of your and
your child’s story, but it doesn’t
have to be the whole thing.
