ness to remind me in the midst of it that I would be ok and in the end I was and am. I still have days that aren’t the great and get a few symptoms time to time but I continue to declare and speak life. A year ago I was in a hospital bed and felt like I was dying and now I have just launched my first album and am just in such awe of what God is doing. I have changed what and how I eat in the natural and the spirit. I don’t go without feeding my spirit daily and now I feed my physical body healthy foods as well and I feel more ALIVE than ever, all glory to God! Also, you disclose about your successful endeavor in overcoming being unhealthy and overweight. What advice can you give to others who are dealing with such an issue? How can they realize they are God’s Treasure? I decided that I like God’s people more than snickers. Just kidding. There was no magic pill or surgery, but a big wake up call to take care of God’s temple, the shell He gave to borrow for His glory was not so glorious and it was time for a change. In all seriousness after being ill I thought about the time I was like God please help me lose this weight. Well, He wasn’t kidding when He says His ways aren’t our ways! But you know what I’m so thankful that I got sick the way I did because I was not just overweight, you guys are sweet but I’ll call it like it is....I was obese and didn’t want to end up diabetic for the rest of my life and sick. I did not change to be skinny but to be healthy. How could I stand in front of a crowd of people and sing especially if I want to reach worldly people as well and expect them not to judge or even worse I wasn’t a good testimony of the Lord being so big and unhealthy. I needed to learn balance and discipline and I’m so glad that it forced me to eat healthy and lose 120lbs. I still have about 30lbs to go but I’m nowhere near where I was and will never go back to that either. It’s not meant to make one miserable because there are delicious and healthy choices and I still splurge on things sometimes but I notice that my body doesn’t like it when I do and I get right back on track. I honestly needed that harsh lesson because I may not have changed, so I’m grateful that God did things the way He did and His timing. great in all aspects. “You made me beautiful, for the whole world to see.”---MARi Some of the songs on Treasure has an upbeat tempos such as “Alive” and “Estoy Bien” that definitely make the feet and body move…So, in regards to dancing, should there be a difference in a Christian’s dance style than that of the secular world? Or does this mater at all to Jesus? Ha ha, well I would hope so. I’m not sure Jesus would appreciate some of the moves that are done in the club but I don’t think that doesn’t mean that we can’t have a great time and dance as well. Growing up my mom made us gave A frame hugs to our friends that were boys.
