Should I Pray or Do

ou’ve done all that you know to do.
You have tried to rectify every wrong
that you can think of, and he still wants
the divorce. You feel devastated and
you really don’t understand how after thirteen
years and two wonderful children, he continues
to walk away from you. You find yourself begging
him to tell you what you need to do differently or
say differently. You may even agree to change
the way you are living if that’s what he wants.
You find yourself in a state of mind that you never
dreamed you would be in; the state that is willing
to do whatever it takes to keep him at home, even
if it is wrong. After you have exhausted every
effort that you can, you then begin to realize that
this nightmare is about to come true. Now what?
You ask God to show you how to pray in order to
save your marriage, because you hope that this
is merely a test. “Surely He will not allow this to
come to pass when He hates divorce”, you think
