example, my husband struggles
with mental illness and we lived
for years with it undiagnosed and
untreated. I cried out for years,
trying to find worldly ways to fix
the situation and do it all on my
own. It was miserable, and it just
got worse. When I finally surrendered and accepted I cannot
endure it myself, I cried out to
God and humbly took this situation to Him. After coming to him
in the right heart, our lives started
to change forever. God was able
to change a situation where my
husband was drowning for years
to excelling in a matter of days,
and it never went back the other
way. I learned a hard lesson in
God strength during this time. For
myself, I could not have endured
that painful time without Him.
For my husband, he wouldn’t be
healthy and have this beautiful
testimony without that strength.
What we learned, was that doing
it alone is complete misery and a
failure from the beginning. Running into Christ’s arms and allow
his strength to overpower yours.
If we believe in His power, trust
His power, come to Him humbly,
ask for His help and do our
best to remove ourselves from
the solution, then that is where
Christ’s strength can enter the
situation and move mountains.
I encourage you to get to know
God, learn his truths in his word
so that you can surrender yourself and allow his power to take
over.
