day . But , do you know Jesus ? Do you love Jesus ? Is Jesus in your heart ? ( Of which Soren replied yes to ) Then you don ’ t have to be scared because you know the God who moves the mountains , He can part the seas , He can do anything . So you don ’ t have to be scared because He is always watching over you .”
“ He is ?” Soren asked .
“ He is .” I responded . “ In fact , there are angels in this room right now .”
I went to grab my phone from my bed and I brought it over to him .
While he was laying there in bed , I put the song , “ God Who Moves Mountains ”. In the dark , stillness of his room , I played it for him , and I couldn ’ t help by raise my arms and close my eyes .
It was just him and I . Nobody was looking . I couldn ’ t keep my arms down . I opened my eyes , and looked at him when it came to the second verse and he had his eyes opened looking at me crying .
I said , “ Buddy ?”
He said , “ That was such a good song !”
He was so moved ! You could just feel the presence of God in that room .
I said , “ Listen , you think of that song anytime you are ever scared because you know a God who moves mountains .” On that way to school the next morning , I asked the boys what they wanted to listen to .
Zealand said , “ I want to listen to that Swedish song .”
Soren said , “ Can we listen to that Jesus song that we listened to last night ?”
At that moment , I said to God , “ Okay , you know me best , and you showed me what you wanted me to do through my kid . If that ’ s what you wanted me to do , then your plan was accomplished !” ( laughing )
That birthed , “ Trust ”.
Is Soren still having bad dreams ?
No . He hasn ’ t woken up with a bad dream in forever . I think since then .
Wow !
I know , it ’ s funny how God works . For a seven year old , fear is a mountain . We worry about so many other things such as health , paying our mortgage , or our car broke down . But for a little kid , that ’ s a mountain . That was his mountain that night .
He ’ s such a sweet baby . My youngest is my thinker . He ’ s always thinking . His mind never stops .
I understand that it is being released simultaneously in both English and Spanish . Was there a reason for this decision ? Yes , there were lots of reasons . I ’ ve done records in both English and Spanish before … almost my whole life . We just felt like it was the thing to do . It was something that had never been done before . So it was the first one .
When you buy the record , you get the English version and the Spanish version at the exact same time . So let ’ s say you know someone who speaks Spanish , and you think that it would be a great witnessing tool to reach out to them in their own language . It could change their life . It could save their soul . It ’ s just a way to reach out to more people to know God , to love God , and to get to know who God really is .
Personal Note :
My favorite quote of Jaci ’ s regarding the importance of family ,
“ God is number one , and then family . We will never be on our deathbed and wish that we could have worked more .”
This is only half of Jaci ’ s journey . Jaci is an advocate for raising funds for autism through her clothing line , M + J = Z .
It is a topic that is very dear to her heart , as her son , Zealand , was diagnosed with autism and she faced many of the challenges that most parents find themselves faced with upon learning that they are parents of a special needs child .
Jaci describes Zealand as her “ wild man ”. But as she also affectionately states , “ He ’ s my man !”.
