Now winter is approaching
and with it, every day is
shorter, darker and the trees
loses all their leaves. Now is
also the time to put ones
mind on the holiday to
come, Christmas cards,
what will be this years surprise from me? I really wanted to make something that
stood out from the usual assortment of Christmas
greetings, and when I the
found Sandy Allnocks video
on YouTube about comic
strip card it got me all excited.
I immediately started to
sketch on a comic inspired
Christmas card, but when
going through my stamps I
realized that they were badly
suited for this purpose.
When in need... The joy
when I found stamps based
on the Christmas gospel,
sold by Time to sow, they
were a perfect match for
this cartoony project. Next
piece on my list was to find
clear acetate paper which
turned out to be impossible
where I live. Accepted this
fact and started to think of
alternative ways to make
the cards. I proceeded with
stuff I already had at home
and the end result pleases
me greatly.
Materials used for
this card
Stamps from:
Time to sow
* kings and camels
* shepherds and
their flock
Stampendous
* joyful phrases
Other materials
* StazOn ink pad,
black
* Cardstock
* Double-sided tape
* Promarkers
* Glitter glue

When ever I use Promarkers, I use semi gloss acid
free copy paper, it's good to
paint on but to use stamps
is not equally easy because
this paper demands more
ink on the stamps to work
well.
