this project with any medium!
After I put in base coats of green
and yellow on the leaves, I added highlights of other colors: oranges and blues added depth.
When it was dry I used colored
pencils to add scribbly lines for
more highlights and shadows,
plus a little movement. I also
used a black Sakura Glaze pen
to outline the leaves
On the flip side, I penciled in the
verse using basic printed letters.
I painted the mint leaf, and added the blue background. The
glaze pen did the outlining again.
Then I played with a yellow Gelato to add some yellow highlights.
When everything was dry I added a mix of ribbons. A knotted
piece of embroidery floss
around the ribbons ties them
together and holds them in
place without adding bulk.
