of the Bible. One day I’ll do inductive study on the chapter,
another day I’ll do a word study,
then I might do an art journal
page. I learn so much more and
get the Word deeper into my
heart.
Your best advice for new faith
journalers.
Why should you keep a faith
journal? What are the benefits of
it?
A faith journal forces you to
slow down and look deeper at
what you’re learning. Now that I
journal, I might spend three or
four days studying one chapter
I learn so
much
more and get the
Word deeper into
my heart.
Start small. You can use a simple notebook and whatever supplies you have on hand.
Experiment with different journaling styles. It took a couple of
years to really find my style.
Join journaling and Bible study
groups to get ideas. Facebook
has lots of groups, including Illustrated Faith, Journal & Doodle Through the Bible and Bible
Journaling Digitally. Groups are
great sources of information,
ideas, and encouragement.
Follow journalers on Facebook,
Pinterest, and Istagram. Again,
this is a great source of inspiration. It’s also one of the best
parts of journaling—connecting
with fellow Christians from all
over the world.
