- Second, I would say to gather up all your papers and items you want to add into your journal in front of you, that way you can see what you have and then you can get a better idea of where you want to go from there. For me I’m always taking what I’m going to put inside and using it to choose my cover image and get a feel for what direction my journal is going in. - Third and Final, I would say YouTube and Pinterest are wonderful inspiration that can show you different binding techniques as well as how to stitch your journal together using a simple Three hole stitch called the “Pamphlet Stitch” I still find amazing ways to bind my journals today using these sites for inspiration.
