Tip! Before painting in your Bible try different mediums in the back of your Bible (I have used up my whole dictionary) and try what mediums works for your pens and colors. When I started to paint in my Bible I wanted to use my Promarkers and found out that if I prepared my pages with matte gel and matte medium, my Promarkers no longer bleed right through the pages. This works well in my Bible but I recommend that if you want to use a new product, first try it out so you know that it will work in yours. There is not the same paper in all Bible editions so what works in my Bible may not work in yours. When you have prepared your page with your favorite medium and it has dried, make the other side as well before painting. If you prepare and paint on one side and not the opposite and then want to paint it, some color can react when you apply your medium and smear. When you are painting with water soluble paint and then want to glue something over it, be careful not to spill glue on your fingers and accidentally smear the background color of your collage.
