This traditional “Kings cake” are baked so that every family member present get their own “bun”, one of them can contain a bean or a pea, whoever got it gets to be king/queen for the day. This was the first time for us making and tasting “King cake”, the surprise of finding it so tasty is a pleasant one considering the low con- These candles are decorated using three button sets from Dress it up - We three Kings, A choir of angels and Snow. Thin metal wire, some beads and a yellow Liquitex paint marker was also used to complete this project. As I could not find any star shaped button so instead I used one of the snowflakes and painted it yellow using the marker pen. Then I threaded the buttons and pearls on the wire and wrapped it around the candle, this was the easy part. After finishing the biggest candle, with the three kings, I recognized that the decoration was to heavy and started to slide down. I had to figure out a way to peg the wire to the candle so I came up with the idea to put a needled on the backside of the candle and wrapped the wire around the needle head to secure it.
