Theme - Epiphany Epiphany! Doing the research for this issue of Faith Crafter has given me an “epiphany moment”. ‘The word Epiphany come from the ancient Greek, epiphaneia, meaning “manifestation, striking appearance”. Having an epiphany is generally a term that is used to describe an enlightening realization or situation to be understood from a new and deeper perspective.’ (wikipedia.org) lovely days with our family. For me Epiphany has mostly been the end mark of Christmas and the time to throw out the Christmas tree. For many weeks now I have read scriptures, sermons and books about Epiphany and a few days after Christmas I got my “epiphany moment”, a deeper understanding for the season. I have been thinking a lot of the wise men who traveled to Jerusalem asking for “He who has been born King, we have seen His star and come to worship Him.” Matthew 2:2 How did they know that Jesus was born, who told them? God? Holy Spirit? What an amazing faith and trust in God they must have had to take on such a journey! I question myself, if God told me to follow a star to a country far away, should I listen and go? I hope that the answer is yes, but to be honest, I don’t I realized that I had not underknow. What I do know is that I will stood the whole depth of Epiphany, keep on taking steps in faith as I I have always loved Advent and want my confidence and trust in God Christmas because to me it is the to grow deeper. Let us enjoy Epiphseason of “light”. Where I live the winter is very dark and come Advent any and celebrate a new beginning: we light Bethlehem stars in our win- “Let light shine out of darkness, made his light shine in our hearts to dows, lighting our Advent candlegive us the light of the knowledge of sticks and it brings hope to a dark God’s glory displayed in the face of time of the year.
