Able, caring teachers lead success of M By David Palmer ore than 30 years ago, First United Methodist Church of Cullman opened the doors to its Sonshine preschool. Cullman area children, three and four years old fill the eight classes, five days a week with a waiting list for others as open- ings become available. "We have a certificate in which we work to prepare children to comfortable enter kindergarten with the type of structure we have in place, said Sonshine Director Susan Waters, who has been in charge of the program since 1992. From the first year of the program, which started in 1987 with two teachers, the preschool has evolved with the times and the needs of parents as well as students.
