Or I would meet someone whose life I had impacted just by showing up, being
me, and doing what I do best. We think sometimes, that no one is listening or
wonder does my life matter, and why should I sacrifice so much? Then I meet
someone in a truckstop early in the morning who is about to go home to commit
suicide. I stayed with her on the phone all day. That night I met her for she was
about to take her life. I called for help and stayed with her at the hospital until she
was better. It is these moments, you know you are where God has planned for
you to be and you are on the right track. I am not bragging, but humbly saying it is
not an easy journey, but it is worth it.
There are many children counting on you, for we need good mentors, like Neets
and Brian. Steve Harvey has a wonderful mentorship program for young boys.
The next phase of our program is to provide national mentorship programs. Many
adults need mentorship, especially starting a new job, or trying to fulfill a dream.
There is no need to reinvent the will, and to waist time, money, blood, sweat, and
tears, on an idea, dream, job, or project, when there are so many you can reach
out to, and who will gladly help you, if they know you are sincere about what you
are trying to accomplish.
