FACES OF
Ft. Collins. My first job was at age 15 at the
Baskin Robbins in Li leton. I made $1.85 an
hour.
What has been your greatest work experi‐
ence? My greatest work experience has
been learning how to run my
own business from my Dad, which in turn
made it possible for him to re re. How cool
is that?
Are you married and do you have a family?
I'm not married, and I have four kids in the
form of two cats, a finch and a parrot that is 25 years old. I've had her since she was a baby.
Where will you be in five years? In five years I'll s ll be here, growing the family business.
What is it about your career that you like the most? What I like most about my career is working with my
family.
What kind of hobbies and interest do you have outside of work? I love music and the arts, I love to go to
concerts and to art galleries and museums. I tried to teach myself to play guitar but I think I'm going to have
to take some lessons.
What are some of the rewards and drawbacks of working for yourself as opposed to working for someone
else? The rewards and drawbacks of working for yourself are the same in a way: It is great that you are in
control of your own des ny, and that you can decide how everything is done. But on the flip side of that, if
you fail you have no‐one to blame but yourself and you have to make all the decisions. You can't say "I'll
have to ask the owner and get back to you" when you ARE the owner.
Do you have a bucket list and can you tell us five things that might be on that list? 1. Travel to I ndia, 2.
Learn how to play guitar like a boss, 3. Follow my favorite band on tour, 4. Become a celebrity, 5. Laugh all
the way to the bank.
What else would you like to add? I already crossed a cool item off my bucket list...to be a contestant on a
game show and I won! You can reach Kimmy at Massa Auto Pawn by calling 303‐238‐2274,or emailing her at
