Fabric Structure
Vinyl & Polyurethane
Vinyl is a chlorinated plastic polymer. Vinyl’s
skin surface is attached to a foam centre, and
backed with fabric. It is widely used in the
furnishing and interior industries for its
durability and easy-clean surface.
Also known as polyvinyl chloride or PVC.
Polyurethane is a resin coated on a fabric
backing. It has water- resistant properties
making it useful for upholstery and interiors.
Commonly known as Urethane or PU
Both fabrics are also popular due to their often
leather-like finish.
