GOING INTO HIS SIXTH YEAR PLAYING PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL , EMMANUEL TOLD US ABOUT HIS JOURNEY TO THE NFL .
“ It all started when I was seven years old . . . I always liked to watch the older neighborhood guys playing football where I grew up in Vero Beach , Florida . My older brother had a major impact on my love for football ; he played in high school , and my twin brother [ Sammuel ] and I watched him play when we were growing up . My older brother actually signed us up for pee wee football and

Although it continues to be extremely important , there ’ s much more to the Lamur brother linebackers than making tackles and preventing touchdowns . Staying in top condition and maintaining a healthy lifestyle outside of football is a critical component to their lives . And when it comes to heart , helping and mentoring children in need through The Lamur Charity is another way these brothers shine . Shortly before Minnesota Vikings training camp began , we were able to catch up with Emmanuel to dig a little deeper and here ’ s what we discovered .
after that , we pretty much ran with it — from middle school , to high school , to college , and then to the pros . It ’ s definitely been a blessing in our lives and it ’ s been helpful , as well . Sports have taught us discipline and how to be good teammates . What we ’ ve learned doesn ’ t just apply when it comes to sports — it applies to life by instilling the right morals and principles — just doing the right things . Personally , it ’ s helped me become a man — a man that loves God , community and helping others .”
