Garden of Life
Takes Getting Fit
to the Next Level
With our Get Fit Challenge!
At Garden of Life, we’re committed to Empowering Extraordinary
Health ® —and that goes for GoL employees, as well.
Although the company has always provided
many benefits to employees to improve
their health, in January, president Brian
Ray made an announcement at the annual
Town Hall meeting that took it to the
next level when he introduced—the Get
Fit Challenge!
All employees were given the opportunity
to have their fitness levels tested with
an InBody machine purchased by the
company. This state-of-the-art machine
calculates body composition and provides
muscle to fat analysis along with a
comprehensive report to help determine
where improvement is needed. But this

was just the beginning—GoL is taking that
extra step by providing a huge amount
of support to help employees achieve
their goals.
Teams have been formed for support and,
of course, friendly competition—talk
about motivation! The company also
partnered with Orange Theory Fitness to
provide weekly private classes for GoL
employees—and they get to attend class
during paid working hours. In addition, the
company provides free healthy, delicious
lunches three times per week served in
the café. Last but not least, employees
are given free weight management
supplements to enhance their fitness
and exercise program.
The camaraderie and teamwork being
displayed is awesome. It’s great to see
team members meeting weekly to discuss
any challenges they might be having,
sharing recipes or taking a 30-minute walk
around the corporate park. The challenge
started in mid-January and will run through
mid-May at which time, everyone who
is participating will be tested again with
the InBody machine to measure results.
With team names such as Booty Blasters
and Thin It To Win It, we’re sure every
participant will be a winner!
