HI!
My name is Vashti Ali, also known
as Vicious V. I’ve been employed
at Garden of Life for the past
13 years in the Finance Department. I love
working here. I am passionate about my job
and enjoy working with numbers; however,
I do have a passion outside of my career.
Growing up in the tropical island of Trinidad
& Tobago, I often helped my mother make
hot sauce. I would watch her make the sauce and dream
of making it one day on my own. I later immigrated to the U.S.
and decided to make it in batches and share with friends, co-workers
and relatives who are just as addicted to hot sauce as I am.
One day I was approached by our Graphics team to help me
start a hot sauce business, since there was a need for an
all-natural superlative blend of perfectly picked mangos and
Scotch Bonnet peppers. Everyone at work decided to vote
on a cool name and the name “Vicious V” was born.
I then ordered some bottles and caps and started making batches
by the bottle. People started enjoying the sauce so much that
it quickly became famous around the office. I have now started
selling the hot sauce and its popularity has grown. I created a
hotter Vicious V version made from the hottest pepper in the
world: King Scorpion, which I’ve named
Vicious V Scorpion.
I’ve been told by a lot of customers that
I should continue to pursue my passion, even
though I am a full-time employee here at
Garden of Life and a parent of three kids.
My goal is to one day become a supplier
for many local restaurants throughout Florida.
I also have great testimonials and positive feedback from everyone
who has tried the sauce.
