I'm Looking at the sea from the shoreline

By Nelson Rodriguez, 11-03

The hidden light of the sea;

the mirror's still the same to me,

as before I drowned.

It's so quiet under the waves;

a house, where you can't be heard,

where you don't need to speak nor sleep.

Now I can't breathe.

My heart's breaking into pieces,

I hope they find a place to beat.

The soul of the sea has me floating

and all this sadness is 100 meters above me.

The terrestrial love is a mundane pleasure to me.

but the soul of the sea sets me free.

Though the water's hard to drink,

it's the only way I can cry;

it seems I have to learn to swim.

Now I can't breathe.

It's the bottom,

I can't go under.

I won't give up,

but I will get wet.
