The old breeding lines of the North
During this tour under the Icelandic midnight sun you have the singular opportunity to ride to the old breeding farms of the historic bloodlines of the North , lead by our local experts Ingólfur and Unnur Erla from Dýrfinnustaðir farm , home to the famous
stallion Hágangur frá Narfastöðum . During this tour our local expert guides take us to the historic farms of the ancient bloodlines such as Kolkuós , Svaðastaðir , Viðvík , Vatnsleysa and Hofsstaðir . This tour is only appropiate for experienced riders that feel comfortable riding in all gaits over rough terrain and are happy to follow the speed of the herd over long distances . Dates : Jun 22 – 26 / Jul 6 – 10 Type : Multi days tour with herd of loose running horses . Duration : 5 days / 4 riding days – Thursday – Monday . Level of expertise required : Only experienced riders in good physical shape . Area : Skagafjörður , North Iceland .
Accommodation : 4 nights in made up beds in 2-4 bed rooms with shared facilities and hot tub . Accommodation in Reykjavik not included but can be arranged .

HORSES AND WATERFALLS
Under the midnight sun
If you want to do some leasure horseback riding and some sightseeing all along – this short riding tour might be the ideal solution . We stay at Kjóastaðir farm , nestled beautifully in green countryside right between some of the most exhilarating sights of Iceland , the Geysir geothermal
field with its erupting hot spring Strokkur and the majestic waterfall Gullfoss . The easy daily rides
in small groups take you on superb riding trails all the way to the geothermal Geysir field and the exhilarating waterfalls Gullfoss , Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss . Look also forward to home- made food with love and cozy evenings in our lovely dinning room adjoining the stable ! Accommodation in the cozy rustique guesthouse with views over the grazing fields of the farm . This tour also includes a visit to the Secret Lagoon , a natural hot spring with wonderful warm geothermal water and of course we enjoy the Icelandic midnight sun .
