Experiential Learning Project Profile GH04-008 Project Art is in the air Our Social Mission: To encourage Hong Kongers to explore, appreciate and express their feeing on the beauty of the city neighborhood and countryside in Hong Kong. Student Learning: Students will understand more about the underprivileged people’s mind by knowing how they see a place. Students will also know more about different places in Hong Kong, learn to express thoughts through art creations, experience teaching arts for children/ elderly, organizing and promoting activities. Project Opportunities: • Organize fieldtrips to engage the underprivileged children or elderly to explore the beauty of Hong Kong in both our nearby city neighborhood and countryside, including the natural and historic heritage. • Organize workshops to teach and facilitate the participants to express what they see and feel through art creations (e.g., photo art, 3D arts using recycling and upcycling materials). • Recruit participants and volunteers from different sectors to join force. • Develop resources and gather materials for art-making. • Share their art works with the general public through organizing exhibitions and promoting in the social media, in order to encourage Hong Kongers to know and appreciate more about Hong Kong.
