Toledo Express airport is a class 1 commercial airport conveniently located within the Anthony Wayne region. It is a secondary airport to Detroit Metro Airport in Detroit, Michigan and serves as a hub for the smaller communities in Northwest Ohio. American Airlines is the largest operator, followed by Allegiant Air as second and other chartered airlines. With services to destinations, such as: Chicago O’Hare, Punta Gordo, St Petersburg, Florida and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

The Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) authorized Metcalf Field to be a reliever for Toledo Express. It is a public-use airport located in Wood County, a neighboring county within Northwest Ohio. The airport covers an area of 450 acres (180 ha) which contains two asphalt paved runways.

There are 51 aircraft based at this airport including a 34 single-engine aircraft, a 16 multi-engine aircraft and one jet.

Located approximately 45 minutes away from the Anthony Wayne area. The Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) is one of the busiest airports in the United States. It is also among the world’s largest air transportation hubs. Over 30 million passengers are served each year. Its largest operator is Delta Airlines, the world’s largest airline which made DTW as the primary gateway for the airlines Asian destinations. An additional 14 passenger airlines including an ultra low cost carrier Spirit Airlines and four foreign flag carriers, such as; Lufthansa, Royal Jordanian, Air Canada and Air France also based its major operations at DTW.

In North America, DTW is one of the newest, operationally efficient modern airport. The facility is consists of two passenger terminals, 145 gates, six jet runaways and two modern Federal Inspection Services facilities for international travels.
