Aberdeen rising The new AECC is due for completion in 2019 , in time for the Offshore Europe event in September . It is hoped the centre , which is located near Aberdeen International Airport , will attract major artists and events , while anchoring existing events in the city .

The main building , which will feature an arena , exhibition space and conference centre is expected to be wind and water tight by next month .

The new site includes four multi-purpose conference rooms and 15 meeting rooms while there are also hospitality boxes included within the main arena . It will have a capacity of 12,500 with an exhibition space of

6,000sqm – four times the size of the space of the current AECC at Bridge of Don .

Construction is also under way on the Hilton Hotel , which adjoins the new AECC and a new Aloft Hotel located just north of the Hilton site .

Ahoy there ! The new Rotterdam Ahoy Convention Centre will open for business in 2020 .

The multi-purpose international convention centre will have 35 rooms , plus a theatre and auditorium with 2,750 seats . The main room – called the RTM Stage – claims to be the largest auditorium in the Netherlands , with removable

stands to create a music hall for 7,000 people as well as an additional exhibition hall . The convention centre will be integrated into the existing structure of Ahoy . The flexibility of the auditorium allows for a conference to be held there during the day and then also host a major theatre production or concert on the stage that same evening .

Midway through A new Midland Convention Centre in Texas , U . S . is scheduled to open for business on 15 September 2019 .

Project highlights include doubling the current exhibition hall space to 20,000 squarefeet , adding 3,000 square-feet

of meetings space and a 6,000 square-foot ballroom , and expanding lobby and prefunction spaces .

Upgraded AV and technology capabilities will also feature , along with expanded kitchen facilities providing the ability to host multiple large and small events occurring simultaneously .

Hail Caesar Caesars Entertainment has started work on Caesars Forum , a new 550,000-square-foot conference and exhibition centre in Las Vegas .

The $ 375 million venue , scheduled to open in 2020 , will feature the two largest pillarless ballrooms in the world and more than 300,000 square feet of space .
