MILAN IS A MUST SEE DESTINATION,
ENHANCED BY A WORLD CLASS VENUE
The Italian business capital.
Milan is the engine which powers the Italian
economy, producing 10% of GDP. The city is at
the center of Lombardia Region, one of the four
economic engines of Europe. The production
system is rooted in manufacturing, services,
culture, showbusiness, art, cinema, television,
volunteering, fashion, sport and research. Getting
here is easy: 364,000 fl ights a year arrive from over
200 destinations, while about 25,000 rooms are
spread across 380 hotels. Each year more than four
million tourists stay in its numerous hotels.
Modern vitality.
Today Milan is the modern global capital of fashion
and design, a shopper’s paradise and a vibrant,
fashionable city full of things to do and lively
nightlife. Its fi ne aesthetic traditions are upheld
in new projects carried out in the city by star
architects like Norman Foster, Zaha Hadid, Arata
Isozaki, Daniel Libeskind and Renzo Piano.

Congressi, a complex dynamic structure in the
newest area of the city, designed by two Italian
architects, Mario Bellini and Pierluigi Nicolin,
who made sustainability its distinguishing trait.
Almost 22,000 seats in 64 modular rooms, 54,000
square metres of supporting exhibiting area,
production and interpreter booths, an auditorium
whose acoustics also make it perfect as a concert
venue, a cabling system that enables simultaneous
connection of 25,000 devices to a single wifi
network at one gigabyte a second, new-gen lights
and LEDs, plus catering services in line with the
