The Moroccan Charter for
Sustainable Tourism actively
champions responsible
tourism. Eco-lodges and desert
resorts and involving local
peoples in development and
environmental safeguarding
are some of the initiatives. The
aim is to educate all involved
in the economic benefi ts of
tourism.

COP22
Recent host to COP22, the
UN Conference on Global
Climate Change, Morocco
welcomed 25,000 delegates
to Marrakech over 12 days.
The event was awarded
the ISO 20121 Standard for
delivery. Only the second
UN Global Climate Change
Conference to receive the
award after Paris and the fi rst
event in Africa to be awarded
