Global Snapshot China - The CPhI global pharma event series – part of Informa Markets’ Health & Nutrition business – has seen visitor and exhibitor numbers surge, with the CPhI China event up 25%. The events have harnessed a trend towards increased outsourcing in the pharma supply chain. Pharmapack Europe, Europe’s biggest pharmaceutical packaging and drug delivery event, welcomed a record 410 exhibiting companies and 5,500 attendees. MCEC Chief Executive, Peter King said the expansion had increased MCEC’s economic impact: “In the 2018/19 year, we have contributed more than AUD$1.10bn (US$770m) in economic impact to the state of Victoria,” King said. “The expansion has exceeded all expectations and has become an iconic addition to the Melbourne skyline.” Thailand - The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau rolled out an initiative at the China Business Forum 2019 in Beijing, designed to strengthen Thai- Sino partnerships.
