30 UNDER THIRTY
Paddy McConway
PR and communications manager, GES
Nomination: “Paddy has done a sterling job liaising with journalists and
editors, industry associations and key influencers across the exhibition, live
event and marketing media. He is a proud ambassador for the company at
corporate events, and has flourished in his current remit as a brand champion
in the industry for GES EMEA.”
In five years’ time: I will be PR and communications director at GES, with
a team of young and hungry GES ambassadors at my mercy, to spread the
good word about engaging events and the power of face-to-face marketing.
Tom Meek
Senior sales executive, Fresh Montgomery
Nomination: “In a relatively short space of time, Tom has made a huge
impact on the team he works with. His positive attitude is infectious and has
helped to keep the team motivated even during tough times. He is one of
the less experienced members of the sales team yet is consistently one of our
highest performers in terms of achieving targets and KPIs.”
In five years’ time: I will be running a successful sales team working on an
exhibition that I have co-launched with Fresh Montgomery. I will be in the
industry’s top 100 and recognised as an industry leading expert in my field.
Louis Moorcroft
Client solutionist, Freeman
Nomination: “Louis is an incredible asset to Freeman and to our industry.
He works across an impressive portfolio of events valued at £4.3m. Not
one to ever say no to a new opportunity, Louis has worked on events in
the US, where he worked on the Offshore Technology Conference - one of
Freeman’s largest events.”
In five years’ time: I see myself continuing to work for Freeman, and
progressing into a client solutionist strategy director role. I aspire to manage
my own team, and be responsible for a portfolio of shows.
Gemma Piggott
B2B marketing manager, the NEC
Nomination: “Gemma’s a sparkling success for the NEC and the
exhibitions industry. Her creativity and energy has seen her come up with
and deliver some great campaigns over the last 18 months She has embraced
our industry with wide open arms, a wide open mind and a rapid insight.”
In five years’ time: I want to continue to develop, to explore the possibilities
of disruptive marketing and to build the NEC brand and my own career. In
five years I want us, and me, to be at the forefront not just of UK exhibitions,
but world leaders as our sector evolves into a bigger, better future.
