ANALYSIS Let’s talk about tech New research from ITR Events provides an insight into exhibition tech H ow much do you know about your exhibitors? In an industry obsessed with fi nding ways to improve the visitor and exhibitor experience, it can be useful to examine data that gives us an insight into how they operate on the show fl oor. With that in mind, IT and AV provider to the exhibition industry, ITR Events, has spent the last two years amassing a sizeable body of data covering a wide range of topics. Did you know that white was the most common exhibition stand colour? Or that only 6.1 per cent of exhibition stands have food and beverage as a key feature? These insights and many more can be found in ITR’s extensive collection of data, which was collated from August 2015 across venues including the NEC, Manchester Central Ricoh Arena, The International Centre, Telford, Olympia London and ExCeL London. The company visited more than 136 exhibitions and analysed more than 12,376 stands. Some of the tech-related fi ndings from the research are featured below.
