Suzanne Singleton, head of associations at London & Partners, commented: “The ICCA rankings are a key indicator of a city’s success in the meetings and events sector and we are very proud that London has maintained its position in the top five.” The Cvent index is an annual list of the Top 25 cities for meetings and events in EMEA. Large regional UK cities Birmingham and Manchester also proved popular in this year’s index; Birmingham rose to No. 19 (up three places from last year) and Manchester rose to No. 21 (up two places from last year). Prague, Czech Republic Brand Events launches new car show Organiser Brand Events has announced it will be reviving the Olympia Motor Show under the name Grand Auto in July 2018. Brand Events has been responsible for a number of successful car shows including Top Gear Live, the CarFest events, IGNITION Festival of Motoring and the recently launched Fast & Furious Live. The new show will be aimed at London’s car lovers, offering a new and contemporary twist of the motoring event format when is arrives at Olympia London on 12-15 July 2018. “The last motor show took place at Olympia over 80 years ago, and a return to this prestigious venue with a dedicated showcase to the motor car in such an important part of London, is long overdue,” said show director Bas Bungish. “This event will feature the most desirable performance, luxury and hi tech vehicles from the past, present and future. “Major motor manufacturers, specialist and classic car dealers will all come together to meet London’s discerning car buying audience.”
