The one-day event will launch on 4 October 2019 at London’s Banking Hall, a Camm & Hooper venue, and will bring together highly engaged candidates, industry experts and a collection of the best employers in the sector. The show will be the start of a campaign to put events as a career high on the agenda for new talent, as well as educating the industry on the diversity of the sector they work in and the amount of opportunities available to them. Across eight hours of informative learning and employer introductions, Event Careers Live will introduce visitors to many of these industry experts who have agreed to give up their valuable time to share their knowledge and insight with them through panel discussions, campfire sessions and interactive workshops. Candidates will also have the chance to meet with companies looking to employ young people with a range of skills, experience and interests. 50 carefully selected employers will be available for short introductory meetings that could be the next step in each visitor’s career in events. Mash Media portfolio director Simon Farnfield commented: “Most people fall into this sector, imagine how many more people would fall into it if they knew how brilliant and diverse it is? Well this is what we’re creating – a window to all the amazing careers this industry has to offer.” Learn more at eventcareerslive.com 14 £5.2bn Cost of regeneration project which includes Croydon’s soon-to-open Fairfield Halls €4m Mash Media launches Event Careers Live New exhibitions coming to Ricoh Arena in 2020 45,000 Free meals delivered in 40 weeks by Launch Foods, SEC’s new partner August — 09
